Conversations in Context 

Beyond the Thread is a conversation that allows people to connect and exchange ideas within the full context of their experiences. By Taking conversations from the cyberspace, to face to face we can better fully understand and provide perspective for our points of view. The hope is that this further understanding with some expert and artistic input will bring us all closer to a better and clearer world. 

I believe the internet and specifically social media has provided us the unprecedented ability to connect quickly and constantly, while simultaneously diminishing the quality and depth of many of those connections. There can be no doubt that social media has created the opportunity to galvanize large groups of people across geographical and social boundaries, but at what cost? Have we lost sight of one another as we view and click ‘like’ on the most mundane of tasks with the same effort or lack there of as we do life's greatest milestones? Are we merely next to each other in cyber space while being even more distant misunderstood and lonely than ever before? 

Beyond the Thread seeks to take us to a time where sitting around the dining room table with great friends discussing our current world created fuller relationships, inspired deeper thought , while providing a sense of belonging.  A diverse table of  distinct individuals sharing a common goal, to hear and be heard in return.
